The workshop may be big, but it's not quite big enough to put the whole plane together. By sheer luck the 42' wing I designed in the apartment in Menlo Park just fit into the 42'-7" wide workshop I found later.
- The first assemblies were just attaching the wings onto the pod.
- In 2008 the entire airplane was assembled for the first time.
- The second full assembly was done in November 2009.
- Final assembly was done at the hangar in Gilroy, CA, in June 2010.
