Panel and Instrumentation

The instrument panel pedestal is made of 3 plies of 7725 bidirectional glass formed over a foam plug. The instrument panel is cut from .090" 6061-T6 aluminum and anodized.

Engine temperature monitors were tested using a heat gun (stuffed up the exhaust header) and soldering iron (clamped to CHT ring) (1/20/10).

The airspeed indicator is fed pressure information via a Pitot-static tube mounted approximately 5' outboard on the underside of the right wing.

The original instrument panel spanned the primary bulkhead, but blocked too much of the forward view.
