The first airplane I built. I started building the Special in early 1997.
At Compton in LA for a while.
Wing Construction, applying the shear ply to the leading edge to form the D-shaped torsion box.
Packing up in Houston to move to LA.
Instrument panel and fuel valve and bracket.
Wingtip bow and left lower wing.
Varnishing and filling the fuselage.
Double locking fasterners and a paint stripe to show if anything moves - a habit from working on helicopters.
6-ply laminated construction, typical of the tail feathers.
